This section assumes that you already have a telnet compatible application available. To setup the Netscape Navigator choose the options menu and select the General Preferences menu item. Now click on the "Apps" tab. Select the "Telnet Application" text field and enter the name and path of the telnet program, for example:
c:\windows\telnet.exe
Now simply click here and your default telnet application will be started. If clicking on that link results in the error message "unable to find application" then you have not setup the preferences correctly and you should try to repeat the above steps one more time.
